The Distretto Urbano del Commercio: shopping in Como... and more

Regione Lombardia has established the Distretti Urbani del Commercio (the Italian translation for Urban Districts of Commerce) in order to:

• SUPPORT competitiveness of cities giving the trade a lead part in innovating and supporting the social and territorial cohesion
• ENCOURAGE team play between Public and Private sectors and the citizens
• INCREASE the attractiveness of the area
• REGENERATE the urban fabric

The Districts of Commerce, therefore, brought to Lombardy the Town Center Management techniques already successfully tested in several European countries.

The Control Room periodically meets to define and approve the projects and the programs that are completed with the supervision of the Manager of the District of Trade.
